This week I want to examine PLN by exploring the truth. I actually talked about the political issues regarding Ukraine and Russia in week 6. Of course everyone has a different perspective because we all have different cultural backgrounds. Everyone’s country is different and what the country wants us to see will be different. I saw some comments about Russia in Tiktok that were completely different from my Chinese version of Douyin (Tiktok). This makes me panic because what everyone knows as the truth is not necessarily the truth. In fact, the knowledge we learn or can see on the Internet is controlled by the state.
So we should learn more widely instead of just looking at one side of things. I was wondering if students should take a different perspective when building their own learning network. When looking at news and things do not believe blindly, but look for the truth in the investigation.
